In this DI guitar recording tutorial I condense the time from the writing stage to the final mix when tracking electric guitars. While I love real tube amps, you sometimes just need to get the job done. I talk about how I record my electric guitars directly into the audio interface and I show you how I process the tracks and optimize them for Amp Sims or Reamping. For this production I'm using Amplitube Tonex from IK Multimedia. I record the guitars in Logic Pro X but you can apply all of the techniques I demonstrate in any DAW.
